New Interns from Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science and Technology Coming to Rocket IT

Rocket IT Founder and CEO Matt Hyatt Founder and CEO Matt Hyatt has announced that Rocket IT will hire two interns from the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology.

“I can’t tell you how excited we are about these interns,” said Hyatt. “These kids are brilliant. I am amazed and impressed at the knowledge and technical skills that they already possess. And they’re not even out of high school yet!”

The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology works to further engage students in the classroom and prepare them to be successful in the global workforce of the 21st century. The school’s mission is to focus on nurturing the talents of academically-able students through a challenging, unique, and integrated curriculum.

“Hiring interns supports the community and education by providing valuable real-world experience to local students,” said Hyatt.

Beginning in September, the interns will be mentored by the professionals at Rocket IT, giving them practical experience in a real, live business, and giving them the opportunity to work side-by-side with a team of technology experts.

The students will be helping to identify trends in PC and server performance data, create and document procedures to troubleshoot technical issues, and create self-healing scripts. The results of these exercises will be evaluated by engineers, and the best ideas will be incorporated into Rocket IT processes.

“It’s an opportunity for these technology students to put their educations to the test in real, applicable situations,” said Chief Technology Officer Jeff Pries.
